Time to confess: tell us about a time when you used a word whose meaning you didn’t actually know (or were very wrong about, in retrospect).

That would have to be most days as I like to use new words and words that make me sound like I know about stuff, even if I do not know what it means.

I once used the word penury at work and nobody else knew what it meant.
